Anatolia （ Turkey ） and Yamato （ Japan ） are both regions with great tradition and history. In "From Yamato to Anatolia," Turkish pianist and composer Çiğdem Borucu and Japanese koto player ・ Atsuko Sueomi take us on a musical journey through time and space.

Mr. Borucu is a renowned pianist, composer, sound designer, and lecturer. Mr. Suetomi has been living in Turkey for several years and is a koto player with a wonderful career. Both will perform Turkish folk songs and traditional Japanese compositions in a concert at the museum. They will also perform some of Mr. Borucu's compositions, including "The Visit. The Visit" recalls the 1890 visit of the Ertugrul to Japan and the tragic maritime accident that followed, an event that has become one of the cornerstones of friendship between Turkey and Japan.

This concert will be held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Turkey and Japan.
