[Machida City, Tokyo] Web-based public lecture "Dietary Treatment of Diabetes" open to the public ！.

Machida Municipal Hospital has been conducting web-based public lectures since FY2020, in which doctors provide easy-to-understand explanations of familiar diseases and other topics via video, with the aim of disseminating the hospital's medical information, contributing to the improvement of citizens' health, and gaining their trust.

We have created a video in which a diabetes specialist explains "Which is better, calorie restriction or carbohydrate restriction ？" and other topics, and released it on YouTube.

Features of the video

This public lecture is our first attempt at a video in the form of a synthetic voice explaining "diabetes diet" using the avatar of the lecturer, Dr. Satoshi Ito, and a character created to play the role of a participant.

Since these characters interact with each other as they explain the subject, everyone can view the videos in a friendly and informal atmosphere, even if the knowledge is medical expertise.

We hope that by providing this service in a way that is appropriate in an age when video content such as YouTube and TikTok are becoming popular, it will be viewed by a wide range of generations.
