10/5] "Kashiwa Tree Planting Festival," a tree-planting project commemorating the 70th anniversary of Kashiwa's establishment as a city.

Kashiwa Tree Planting Festival will be held on October 5 （ Sat ）.

This event commemorates the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Kashiwa City and welcomes the Kashiwa tree, the symbol of the city.

Cheeba-kun and other Yurukyara characters from the prefecture, which like Kashiwa celebrates its 70th anniversary this year, will be there to support the event ！

We look forward to seeing you all there.


Why "Kashiwa Tree" ？

The Kashiwa tree is said to be a tree of good luck for the next generation, as its current leaves do not fall off until new shoots appear.

We have decided to grow 70 Kashiwa trees in remembrance of our activities that have continued uninterruptedly like the Kashiwa tree for 70 years since the birth of Kashiwa City.

Where to grow them ？
Schools and kindergartens ・ Nurseries, as well as the urban agricultural center "Roadside Station Shonan" with its direct sales of agricultural products and restaurants bustling every day, "Akebonoyama Agricultural Park" in the north of the city where rich nature spreads, and the hometown exchange city Tadami Town Fukushima Prefecture ） also grows.

Please tour around the city and enjoy the Kashiwa trees.

*Please refrain from entering schools and child care facilities.

About the tree-planting ceremony
A tree-planting ceremony will be held by Mr. Kazumi Ota （ Kazumi Ota ）, Mayor of Kashiwa City, and Mr. Tetsuya Okano （, Vice President of Chiba Prefecture Truck Association ） who has donated a set of saplings to this project. Mr. Tetsuya Okano, Vice President of Chiba Trucking Association Mr. Tetsunari Okano will hold a tree planting ceremony.

Yurukyara characters from the prefecture will also come to support the event.
