Special Olympics Hawaii Charity Event "15th Annual Over ・ The ・ Edge"

The 15th Annual Over ・ The ・ Edge, a charity event for Special Olympics Hawaii, will be held on Saturday （ October 19, 2024 ）. The event will be a vertical descent from the rooftop of the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa, the tallest hotel in Waikiki, to the 40th floor of the hotel's exterior wall. The first 100 participants are expected. The purpose of this event is to promote awareness of Special Olympics Hawaii's activities and to raise funds for the organization. Registration fee is $ 100 per person. For safety reasons, participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and sign a consent form. Only those weighing at least 45 kilograms and no more than 136 kilograms may participate, and each participant should aim to collect $ 1,000 or more donations.

The day before （ Friday ） the 18th Hawaii media will be present to promote the event. Japanese media will be represented by influencer "Gino-san from Hawaii" （ YouTube, Instagram ） as last year. Gino-san is a popular influencer who introduces Hawaii on YouTube and Instagram, and he supports and cooperates with Special Olympics Hawaii's activities. Event participants will receive a special 15th over ・ the ・ Edge t-shirt. There will also be a separate prize for participants who raise $ 1,000 or more. All donations from OVER ・ the ・ Edge are used to benefit local athletes in the state of Hawaii. 864,516 in donations have been collected.
