As far as I can tell.

There is a "FFCRA Act" for pandemic preparedness, but the target audience is employees working in small businesses with less than 500 employees.

I read an article once that this law was Expired in December 2020 and was re-extended in some states. However, when I checked, I found that the federal Department of Labor website has not updated its explanation of the re-extension.

However, it takes almost a month to start the online process, pass the screening and get paid. If you have read the unemployment insurance rules carefully in the handbook and still want to receive one week's payment, it would be quicker to find a relative or friend who received unemployment insurance due to the pandemic and ask them to directly tell you how to go about the procedure.

My personal impression is that if the FFCRA law is still in effect in the state of Hawaii, it would be easier to apply for Paid Sick Leave than unemployment insurance, which has many strict rules and conditions.
