I am wondering if I should remove my alias at the same time as I renew my passport. The reason is that it is inconvenient for me to not be able to check in online or use any kiosks in the airport. I am not divorced or anything.

Currently we have the following.

Japanese family register ： Hanako Yamada
Passport ： Hanako Yamada (Smith)

My documents in US, Grobal Entry, GC, SSN, license, credit cards all have my husband's surname Smith. I use my husband's surname "Smith" for all my documents in the U.S.

I always buy my boarding passes at Hanako Yamada. Whenever I check in online, I always have to go to the counter and get a boarding pass manually from the staff because they scan my passport and find that my name is different from my name. Every time I have entered the U.S. via Canada a few times, the kiosk also makes an error and I have to wait 30 minutes for the agent to call me.
When entering the U.S. from Japan, I get an error when sending my customs documents and photo through the Global Entry app, and the Global Entry kiosk also has an error. But if you show Global Entry, GC, and passport at immigration, you will be allowed to enter US without any problem. I was told that it is difficult to remove

but when I told the consular officer that I want to remove （ ）, he said that I should not remove because my name will be different from GC and it will be a problem when I enter the country. It is impossible to change my Japanese family register name in time.
I called US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) and was told that even if my passport last name and GC last name are different, there is no problem if I have a marriage certificate.
They said that Global Entry should change to Yamada. He told me that if I just change my name, I don't need to re-interview.

I am stuck with the consulate people stopping me. I am not sure if I should continue to use the alias or remove it.
Did you ever remove it because of the same problem? ？ Did you regret taking it off? ？

It is inconvenient to scan your passport at online check-in or to use kiosks at the airport at all, but it is a hassle every time. And outside of the U.S., would it be a problem to have the aliases together ？
