Nippori Dokan Festival will be held

Ota Dokan is known as the builder of Edo Castle in the Muromachi period (1336-1573), and there are many places in Arakawa Ward associated with him, including Mt. Dokan in Nippori, where Dejiro ）, the Edo Castle's outworks, is said to have been located.

Every year, Arakawa Ward holds the "Nippori Dokan Festival" at the event plaza in front of Nippori Station, near the Dokan Mountain in Nippori, a place associated with Dokan.

Local governments related to Dokan will sell their specialties and have booths to promote tourism. On a special stage, there will be a skit by Isehara Handmade Armor Squad, a picture-story show by Tora Mitsuhashi, the second generation picture-story show house, and a bingo tournament with a large gathering of yuru-chara characters.

Please come to the venue to enjoy this event for both children and adults.

[Statues of Dokan Ota and Yamabuki no Hana Ippiki in front of Nippori Station]

In front of Nippori Station, a mounted statue of Dokan Ota, donated by the Tokyo Arakawa Lions Club, "Kaiten Ippiki （. ） erected in December 1989 ） and a statue of "Yamabuki no Hana Isshi" （ erected in May 2008 ）, named after the "Yamabuki no Sato legend".
