今年は１９６４年東京オリンピックから５０年が経つ節目の年でもあります。
東海道新幹線、ユニットバス（ホテルニューオータニ）、かっぱエビせん（カルビー）、ティッシュボックス、テレビ・・・
これらも世に出回って５０年が経つとのこと。
生活に必要な物を真剣に見直し、世界に向けて発信する機会が再来することを切望します。（NHK総合番組）

懐かしいなぁ、東京オリンピック。
唯一タダで見られるマラソン競技では、東小金井の学校からの帰り道、
千駄ヶ谷駅で降りて津田塾英語学校の前で選手が走っているのを見ました。
先頭は裸足のアベベ、大分時間がたって円谷が走ってきたので、
おぉ、日本は２位かと思ったら競技場内でイギリスの選手に追い抜かれ、
３位になりまたね。
次の年かな、習志野駐屯地でスカイダイビングの訓練のため体験入隊している時に、
円谷選手が降下場という広い場所で走っていました。その彼も次のオリンピックの前に自殺しました。
