Vivinavi Los Angelesオイル交換についてーディーラーのいうことは正しい?

中古で買ったトヨタのディーラーに初めてオイル交換（一番安いノーマル、$32.99）をたのみました
すると今までノーマルオイルではなく1つグレードの高いオイル（54.99）を入れていたから
ノーマルはいれられないから、54.99しかないと言われました
前のオーナーがどうしていたかは置いておいて、
今までよりグレードの低いオイルにすることは本当にダメなのでしょうか?
ネットで見る限りオイルの高いやすいはさほど関係ないとか、
ディーラーは相手によって騙してくるとあったので本当のところを知りたいと思いました

オイル交換は業者の利益。。
プリウスあたりのハイブリッドにすれば
オイル交換はいままでの
５０００マイルから１５０００マイルと。。三倍に伸びますが。。
オイル交換代 三分の一。。。

＃９さん、ありがとう。つまり、ディーラーは金儲けのために嘘をついたことになりますね。それとも、本当にそう信じ込んでいたのでしょうか、だとしたら、それはそれでもっと問題かもしれませんが。
ちなみに僕は、セール品で一番安いオイルを7500マイルごとに交換しています。で、今40万マイルほど走行していますが、最近寒くなるとエンジン始動後カタカタ音がするようになって来てしまいました。高いオイルを入れていたら防げたのでしょうか。
