Fujieda Cycling 70km FREE RIDE" to Commemorate the 70th Anniversary of Fujieda City ・ 100th Anniversary of Soccer City

As part of the city's efforts to promote cycle tourism as a new means of attracting visitors to the city, the "Fujieda Cycling 70km Free Ride" will be held. In cooperation with Suruga Bank, Ltd., with whom we concluded a "Partnership Agreement on Bicycle Promotion" in January last year, we will expand the number of visitors and revitalize the local economy by utilizing tourism resources such as history ・ and nature.

・ The course to be run this time is a 70km Fujieda model course created under the supervision of Mr. Yasutaka Tashiro （, a former professional road race cyclist and representative of the 2004 Athens Olympics. It is a model cycling course.

・ This is a 70km course that passes through a part of the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route, and offers a full enjoyment of history ・ and culture ・ such as the Tanaka Castle residence, Okabejuku Grand Lodge Kashiwaya, Meiji Tunnel, and the Setogawa River embankment, with an elevation gain of 569 meters.

・ This is a free-ride format where participants ride at their own pace while checking the course on a dedicated app. Upon arrival at each point, participants will be asked to post on SNS to help disseminate information about events and sightseeing spots in the city.
