Nasushiobara City, Tochigi Prefecture: A living fir tree is displayed in the library. A "giant" Christmas tree to be completed by everyone.

Following the flower installation "Now/Then,Present Now and Then. Present", an interactive artwork in which visitors to the library can participate together, will be held as a Christmas event again this year.

" GULLIVER TREE" means " overwhelmingly huge, but the essence remains the same ". And "PAPER EDEN" is a project presented by edenworks in 2017 to form flowers with paper.

As a Christmas project, there will be an installation of a "Gulliver （ giant ）" fir tree. By inviting library visitors to create ornaments to hang on the fir tree, the library will provide an opportunity for many people to experience art.

About edenworks
A creative studio for flowers and plants run by Emi Shinozaki. With the philosophy of "not abandoning flowers but connecting them to the future," the studio draws out the potential of flowers with its unique sensibility, and designs and creates to eliminate the loss of flowers to the maximum extent possible. He is involved in a wide range of flower-related creations, including store interior decorations, window decorations, collaborations with brands, magazines, advertisements, commercials, music videos, and more. He has various stores such as edenworks bedroom, a weekend-only flower store, EW.Pharmacy, a dried flower store, conservatory by edenworks, a concept store for plants, and ew.note, a flower store that connects flowers and people. He also presented his paper flower project PAPER EDEN in Milan, Italy in 2017. He is active both in Japan and abroad as an artist, collaborating with brands and creating installations.

Nasushiobara City's Commitment to Art
Utilizing Art The "Nasushiobara City ART369 Project Executive Committee" was established in 2048 to promote urban development utilizing art. Currently, a total of four people, including one member of the Regional Development Cooperation Team, are involved in the project. The committee is promoting opportunities to experience art in the city through art workshop events and exhibitions of artists' works.

Opened in September 2020, it is located in front of Kuroiso Station on the JR Utsunomiya Line, It offers a variety of reading environments, including a space for infants and children on the first floor, a café run by a nearby ranch, and a space for quiet reading and study on the second floor. It received the Good Design Award 2021 and the 33rd Tochigi Prefecture Marronnier Architecture Award.
