Thank you for your first post and message. I hope you will continue to share with those close to you the kindness that many of you have shared information with us on the numerous unemployment insurance topics.

I know it has been a difficult year with the Corona disaster, adding not only the stress of social distance and unemployment stress, but also the stress of the unemployment insurance process, which is not well maintained. And I think the hardest of all was for the Essential Workers who were forced to come to work at a time when they did not have such generous benefits as unemployment insurance and were not sure what Corona was or how to deal with it.

I can only hope that by next year all the unemployment insurance topics will be gone and all of us will be back to our pre-Corona routine.

Thank you for everything.

In case anyone else is like me, I thought it might be helpful ？ so I posted this.

Here's my follow-up report, I emailed UI but it doesn't look like I'll be hearing from them.

I made an INITIAL claim on July 6, called 250 times on July 8, and finally got through.

I haven't worked since last March, but as soon as the call connects, they ask for my social security number, which I have not had since last March.

Next, I was asked if I had ever gone back to work.

When I said no, they asked me ？ what was this amount I received last year, and when I said SEVERANCE, they asked me ？ what was the amount I received this year, and I said

it was SEVERANCE. I answered "SEVERANCE". I answered, " SEVERANCE.

Then he asked me to email him all my paystubs from last October to this March.

I emailed them all on July 8, but there was no action, and the last two I filed, for June 26 and July 3, are still pending.

Yesterday, the file for July 10 was ready, and when I filed it, it was displayed in a strange place. I am full of anxiety.

I'm so anxious that I called 300 times today and was able to get through, so I emailed them my paycheck stub and told them I wanted my account fixed

on PEUC's extension screen until September.

Thanks for sharing. I still see the trend of requesting copies of pay stubs, and it seems like the UI office is getting more and more detailed as we head into September, when the PEUC is likely to end.

June → September PEUC extension is in the middle of the season and there should be a flood of requests for Examiner Approval, so you will have to wait your turn.

The "Receiving Unemployment Insurance, and Working as a Sole Proprietor" Topic contains some tips, so you might want to look for the Topic and read it.

However, the call center advice seems to be scattered regarding sole proprietorships as well. If there are no advice posts, I would suggest contacting the call center and asking the call center staff to double check with the Examiner and ask how to apply currently. In the future, I think it would be easier to get the attention of people receiving UI unemployment insurance, including sole proprietors, if you post in the "Unemployment Insurance Receiving, Sole Proprietor Jobs" topic instead of this topic.
