Originally, when you applied for unemployment insurance, the duration is one year but the benefit is 26 weeks
Last time, or rather last year and this year, it was a special measure
because of the pandemic, right?
So I thought that meant that until June of this year, you were exempted from job search even if you had been laid off for the first time
and you also received extended benefits for a longer period than usual.

Your claim is good for a one-year period called the benefit year.

If you see the new balance in the Account Balance section of the Claim Inquiry screen, divide it by the new WBA on the approval letter you received in the mail. If the new balance is for 26 weeks, divide it by the new WBA on the Claim Inquiry screen. If it is for 26 weeks, it will mean that you will be paid the entire amount of that total until the Benefit Year End expires.

However, there are some differences between unemployment insurance for pandemic impact reasons and regular unemployment insurance for non-pandemic impact reasons, so you should double check with the call center to be sure.

Thank you very much for your kind advice.

I have heard that skipping the application may prolong the pendency,
that may be true, I will still try to apply under the assumption of Disqualified.

Thank you also for your advice regarding the 26 week payment rule.

I am basically on my own, but with the UI being hard to reach on the phone
it is very helpful to get more information here.
