[Saitama Prefecture] Cocoon City and Saitama Prefecture collaborate to hold an environmental event ！.

Saitama Prefecture established the "Saitama Platform for Promotion of Sustainable Use of Plastic Resources" in June 2021, and has been working on the recycling of plastic resources in cooperation with businesses and other entities.
Cocoon City, operated by Katakura （ Katakura Kogyo K.K. ）, a member of the platform, and Saitama Prefecture have joined forces to hold the "SDGs Fair at Cocoon City" on June 1 （ Sat ） ～ 9 （ Sun ）. At "2024 Summer", we will hold events to promote recycling of plastic resources, including a campaign to collect unwanted clothing from prefectural residents' homes, etc., collection of plastic containers by platform members, and SDGs workshops.
Please cooperate in the collection of unwanted clothing for the realization of a recycling-oriented society.

2 Implementation

Clothing Collection Campaign

Please bring your unwanted clothing to the venue. The first 200 people each day who cooperate in collecting at least 5 pieces of clothing will receive a shopping coupon worth 500 yen from Katakura （ Katakura Kogyo K.K. ） to be used at Cocoon City.

The collected garments will be optimally reused ・ and recycled by M-Circular Resources Inc. which is engaged in textile recycling business.

*Some clothing items may not be collected.



Plastic Collection

Wash after use at home ・ Please bring dried plastic containers to the venue. The collected containers will be processed ・ by Unilever ・ Japan ・ Customer Marketing K.K. at a recycling plant and recycled into eco-goods.

We will hold a hands-on session of "GURU-TSUME", an environmental education card game that allows you to learn and have fun. Participants will look for things around them that can be recycled. Participants can spin the gurumacchas at the venue.
