アメリカに住んで３０年経ちましたが今年の夏に本帰国が決定しました。
家の中にいろいろと物があふれておりまして送るのも何かと高いですから、どれを持って帰ればいいのかどれを売ったほうがいいのか頭痛のタネです。
工具や台所用品など、良いアイデアを下さいませ。

工具とかはこっちで売っても半額以下ぐらいでしょうから、送料払ってでも持って帰ったほうがいいのでは。
また買い集めるのもとても高くつきそうですし、、、

私なら全て処分します。
手荷物で帰れるくらいにして、本当に必要なら新しいものを買います。
結構必要最小限でなんとかなるもの。

電化製品なんかは日本にあるものの方が良いから全て売却。
帰って日曜大工や家を改装とかですぐに使うのだったら電気工具なんかは持って帰ったほうがいいんじゃない

電気製品はアメリカと日本で電圧が違うので物により日本ではまともに動かないこともあります。
アメリカ AC 120V 60Hz
日本 AC 100V 関東以北 50Hz、関西以西 60Hz
周波数に関しては現在の製品では無視できるでしょうが、電源周波数をクロック回路の元としている製品は関東以北では正しく動きません。電圧もモーターや電熱利用の機器はその能力が全然低くなります。
冷蔵庫や洗濯機などのシロモノは電圧・周波数を語る前に重量での輸送費で全然ペイしません。
すでにご存知でしょうがラップトップパソコンやタブレットは元々全世界で使えるようにできているので全然問題ありません。

そもそもアメリカの左右の大きさが違うコンセントはソケットに入るのか謎です。

個人では電気工具を日本に送れないぞｗｗ
法人は可能です。（例えば、建設会社など）
僕も日本に帰国する時は投げ売りする予定
日本で中古品を購入

調べたところ船便だとリチウムバッテリーでも送れますね。
送料とかも計算してもやはり持って帰った方が良さそうな気がします。
