#24 You don't know how a counselor thinks or approaches things until you meet and talk with them, so your answer of "then don't go" is not on target. As was mentioned earlier, it may take many people until you find a counselor that you are comfortable with. I do not need a counselor anymore. Because there was no improvement. The counselor at the hospital didn't meet my personal needs either with pre-prepared questions. I know some people feel more comfortable by just talking, and those people are expensive and really are like lawyers if they don't have insurance, though I think those with insurance should give it a try.

I was grateful for the generosity, and that's what happened when I talked about and accepted things. It's not that I am not grateful, it's just that the choice that was recommended to me still casts a shadow over my life decades later. Maybe I made the wrong choice, I called there, in a time when I could not even speak English properly in the US. These people are not professionals. This was at a time when I was in an unfortunate situation in the US with no parents and no relatives. But even doctors, lawyers, etc. are professionals and make mistakes, and lawyers include cases where mistakes are made on purpose. I only posted this in the hope that there will be fewer life-changing events, even if they are not perfect, because I believe that there are drugs and surgeries that are wrong and change people's lives.

People who always complain and whine. People who blame others for everything. These people are not going to be happy for the rest of their lives. In fact, if you have this kind of negative energy, people around you will leave in droves. Well, you may not even realize it.

I certainly don't like the act of amateurs counseling people easily, but I think it is too harsh an opinion to hold the counselor responsible for your life.

I am sure you had an unpleasant experience in counseling, but it is only advice and the decision is yours to make. Not only counselors, but people and encounters can have a big impact on your life. But you are the one who chooses the people you meet. If your life is not going well, it is because of your own judgments, decisions, and actions. By shifting the blame to others, you are creating more problems.

Failures and unpleasant experiences are never wasted in a long life. It is easy to criticize others. However, I believe that by allowing others to make mistakes and failures, we give ourselves more room to make choices.
