タイに長く暮らした日本人です。
タイでは少しの間タイ人に日本語を、日本では20年以上タイ語を教えてきました。
語学として学ぶ「タイ語」は長い時間がかかります。私は「タイ会話」として、しかも「発音記号メソッド」という方法で、30時間で一人旅や移住開始に必要なタイ語とタイの知識を教えてあげられます。
ただ、あまり時間はなく、お一人か3人までのグループを、空いてる時だけにしか教えられません。
メールをいただければ、資料を送ります。
タイに深くかかわってきた者として、間違った情報に惑わされず、あの微笑みを絶やさないタイの人々と心通わせていただきたいと願います。

トピ主です。こんにちは。
ミョウガの苗は時期的なものもあるようで毎年外してしまっていたんです。
先日久しぶりに見にいったら店じまいされてしまったようで行く当てもなくここに書き込みしました。
幸いなことに苗を分けてくださることとなりました。
通販も考えたのですが、カリフォルニア州には配送できなかったり、配送途中で茎などが折れたりしたことがあるので購入までに至りませんでした。
返信いただいたすべての人、フォローいただいた方々ありがとうございました。

茗荷は根を小さく切って広く植えて育てます。 苗ではなく、種でもないです。 根っこのきれっぱしを土においてその上からまた土をかぶせておくだけです。 食べるのは「花」です。 根っこ用の肥料は要りませんが花を咲かせるためのフードは必要です。 花は初夏にならないと芽が出ないです。 水は大量に要ります。 茗荷は冷凍できるので収穫したら保存して長くお楽しみください。

ミョウガはそれ自体にあまり味はなく Wiki でも言われているように「麺類や冷奴の薬味など香辛菜として利用される。そのほか、天ぷらや酢の物、味噌汁の具など、独立した食材としても用いられる」そうです。
私も味わったのは小学生の頃で、つまり戦後10年前後で、記憶に残っているのは「みょうがたけ」で形状は細ねぎのようで味はねぎのようなきついものではなかったです。通常は、Wiki の写真にあるような、大きく育ったぼってりとした花の部分を食べるそうです。

ということで、私はすでにこの場にあるなら懐かしさで食べたいが、なければ別に手間かけて手に入れようとは思いません。しかし日本にいるときこのミョウガを常に食べていた人は、手に入りにくいだけ、自分で育てでも食べたいでしょうね。

日本政府は2日、数々の輸出管理上の優遇措置を受けられる「ホワイト国指定」から韓国を除外する政令改正を閣議決定した。
韓国向けの輸出の際に一部の食品と木材を除くほぼ全ての品目で経済産業省が厳格な個別審査を求めることができるようになる。
日本がホワイト国に指定している米国や英国など27カ国のうち、指定を失うのは韓国が初となる。
政府は韓国をホワイト国から除外する政令改正案について、7月1日から意見公募を実施し、7月24日に締め切った。賛成は95%を超えた。
韓国政府は改正に反対する意見書を提出したが、日本政府は賛成意見を踏まえて政令を改正した。
韓国がホワイト国の指定を失うと、同国企業が中国や東南アジアなどの生産拠点でも日本からの輸入品を使う場合の手続きが厳しくなる公算が大きい。
さらに日本ほかのホワイト国への渡航にはビザの取得が要求されるようになり得る。

何故か韓国のりが人気あるけど、韓国人の友達が韓国の海水汚染は酷いからたべないほうがいいと忠告されたぐらい。まぁ、日本のほとんどの海苔も中国製が多いから同じようなものかもしれないけど

アメリカの年金を日本で受給されてる方に質問です。
１：social securityオフィスからチェックを郵便で日本に送ってもらう場合
２：social securityオフィスから日本の銀行口座にWireで送金もらう場合
があると思うんですが
１の場合の手にするまでのかかる時間、また日本で換金できた場合の最終的な手数料
２の場合の銀行等でかかる最終的な手数等
教えていただけますか？
また、この方法が良いよ。などのアドバイスがあると助かります。

私は、ごくごく普通の６０代のミーハーババアなんです。
それで満足、幸せなんで、ややこしい政治問題は関わらない事にしてる。
大体日本人と言ったって何千(？)年前は皆大陸から来てる、あとは東南アジアやロシア等。
日本人はそれらのミックスだと思ってる。
私は日本人だけど今巷で流行りのＤＮＡ (アンセスター)kitでやったら、東南アジアとモンゴル系と中国、朝鮮ごちゃ混ぜに、程よく入ってた
韓国や朝鮮の事、色々言う人も自分の先祖(ancestors)を調べるKitオーダーして見るといい。
50％いや、それ以上の人が朝鮮系とでるかもね
人種とかでなく国家となると、又別の話だけど
