スイートレモンの木を以前頂き、直径１メートル程の鉢に植わっているまま表の庭に置いて育てていました。しかし、徐々に葉が枯れて行き「季節的にそういう時期なんだろうな〜」と思っていましたが、更に枝が枯れて行くのでオカシイと思い様々検索しましたら”カイガラムシ”なる物が樹液を吸って木ごと枯らして最終的には木が死んでしまうとありました。それを知る前に「枯れた枝や葉は木の成長の妨げになるので切りましょう」と聞いた事があり”ガンガン”枝を切り落としていました。。。しかし、カイガラムシの存在を知り良く観察すると幹を覆う様に「何か」が付いていました。。。そこで”たわし”等で全て洗い流し幹にも枝葉にも一切発見した「何か」は居なくなりました。にもかかわらずその掃除から数ヶ月が経ちまた観察してみると再びその「何か」らしき物がチョイチョイ現れ始めたので「これは大変だ！」とこちらに投稿を決めました。
薬を使わずオーガニックレモンを育てたかったのですが、ここまで虫に悩まされると諦めて薬に頼った方が良いのかとも考えています。どなたかレモンの木や虫の駆除に詳しい方がいらっしゃいましたら助けて頂けると幸いです。
現在木は高さ１メートル程、カナリ枝を切りましたが一部から新しく葉が出て成長をしようとはしています。
