Vivinavi Los Angelesアパート探しはいつ頃始めれば良いでしょうか？

来年5月下旬にロサンゼルスに引っ越します。West Los Angeles エリアで、$1500-2000 の1ベッドルームアパートを探す予定です。
通常、何ヶ月くらい前にアパートを探すのが良いでしょうか？今のところ、3月中旬を予定していますが、それだと良い部屋が取れにくかったりしますでしょうか？
apartments.com などでサーチして、直接訪問して良いところを見つけようと思っています。
よろしくお願いします。

今までそれなりの回数引っ越しをしましたが、入居日の1ヶ月以上前にアパートに空き部屋が出るか問い合わせても
アパート側もわからないことがほとんどでした。住人は出て行く際に30 day noticeを義務づけられているので
誰かが出て行く30日前にはアパート側がそれを把握できるけど、それより前に知らせるかどうかは住民の任意だからです。
私もはじめは「それで1ヶ月以内に見つからなかったらどうなるのか」と不安でしたが、経験上
引っ越し先を決めるのは長期でじっくり決めるより短期間（1〜2週間）で積極的に動き回る方が効率的だと思います。
良いと思った部屋もタッチの差で他の人にアプリケーションを出されて取られてしまったりしたこともありますが、
大学の真近くだとか特別な場所以外は、時期はそれほど関係ない気がします。
引越す予定のエリアの家賃の相場や治安は数ヶ月で変わるものではないので、その辺は時間に余裕を持って調べて
具体的なアパート選びは入居日から1ヶ月前ぐらいから始めるのが一番だと思いますよ。
いい部屋が見つかるといいですね。
