自動車免許再更新中に帰国してしまいました。失敗です！
誰かどうやって日本から自分の免許を手にいれる方法をおしえてください。

そんなことはＤＭＶのＨＰを見たりすればわかってる事ではないでしょうか。
規則を聞いているのではなく、それを踏まえた上で困っているので誰かいい案はないかという質問かと思われますが。いろいろな角度から経験者やそのお友達からの意見があると人は助かります。それが悩み相談の掲示板だといいですね。

davidさんと同じになるけれど、やはり友人か知り合いに頼むしかないかな。一度ＤＭＶに送り返されても届かないからこちらの住所へ送ってくれとＤＭＶに電話をすればすぐにくるよ。一度友人のをそうしてあげたことがあったから。
今まで他の秘策を聞いたことないから恐らくないのでは？上に書いた方法以外は・・もちろん安くすませるには・・。

私も帰国前に更新だったので、友達の家の住所に変更しましたヨ。
で、今送られてくるのを（友達の家に）待っているのですが、４〜５週間後と言われました。仮の更新免許（？）みたいな紙をもらいましたが、その紙の有効期限内に来なかったらどーするの？って、DMVに聞いたら、もう一度DMVに言って、催促して下さいって言われました。

現地の知り合いが連絡してもいいんですね。日本からあの長くまたされる電話をかけなければならないのかと心配でしたがよかったです。
