Vivinavi Los Angelesテレビを録画したい

英語の勉強のために、テレビを買いたいと思っています。
普通のドラマやバラエティを（耳の不自由な人用の）字幕つきでみたくて、
さらに字幕ごと録画したいと思います。
とても基本的な質問なのですが、この場合、何を買えばいいのでしょうか?
はずかしながら昔のビデオテープの時代しか知らなくて。。
簡単に録画したり消したりするにはテレビとDVDプレーヤー?ブルーレイ?
昔のテレビデオみたいな一体型のものとかないのでしょうか。
そしてこの場合字幕つきで録画できるのでしょうか?
また、狭いワンルームなので26インチか32インチくらいで探しているのですが、
値段は録画できるものと合わせておおよそいくらくらいでしょうか?
よろしくお願いします。

パソコン用のTVチューナーを購入して、Windows Media Centerで録画したらどうでしょう。
テレビ番組がHDDに録画されますが。

すみません、二重投稿です。
この投稿をしたのにずっと反映されなかったため、フリートークじゃなくてお悩みにしないといけないのかと思いお悩みのほうであらためて投稿したのですが、なぜか数日後に反映されちゃったようです。
パソコン用のTVチューナーというものもあるんですね。
他で教えていただいたDVRと比較して考えたいと思います。
