日本で保険適応の差し歯を作りました。
現在はアメリカに在住しており、歯医者で差し歯を交換する必要があるといわれました。
金額は前歯2本で$1200と言われたのですが、アメリカではどのような材質の物を使用するのでしょうか?
もし日本で保険適応でできるものと同じ物であれば日本で治療したいと思っていますが、日本でも保険がきかず$1200以上になってしまうような差し歯であればこちらで治療したいと思っています。
よろしくお願いします。

前歯ですよね?
アメリカでは、中身が金属で外から見える部分にのみセラミック(陶器)を貼り付けたメタルボンドというのが主です。
私が行っている歯医者でも前歯のメタルボンドは１本$600ぐらいなので、トピ主さんが言われたのも同じものでしょう。
日本で保険で入れられる差し歯は硬質レジンと言います。
この二つの大きな違いは、メタルボンドは陶器なので変色することはありませんが、硬質レジンはプラスティックなので年月と共に色素沈着し変色していくことです。
ちなみに日本ではメタルボンドは保険適用外なので安いところでも1本10万円はすると思います。

とても分かりやすくご説明頂きましてありがとうございます。
１５年ほど前に保険適応で作った前歯です。変色はないのですが、歯と歯茎の境目が黒ずんでいます。裏は金属なのでそれが原因と言われました。
こちらでは金属は使わないので境目が黒くなる心配もなく差し歯だと分からなくなると言われました。
現在保険がありませんが、それでも日本で治療するよりも安いということが分かりましたのでこちらで治そうと思います。
