何か購入、又はサービスを受ける場合で、お金を支払う側が支払う意思はあるが、商品又はサービスが確実に入手、履行されるのを確認した後に支払いをするという仕組みがあったと思います。
お金を支払う側は支払う意思がある証として、第3者（弁護士か会計士かそれ以外か忘れました）にお金を預け、その第3者が受け取り側にお金を預かっている事実を伝え、受け取り側が商品、サービスを確実に買い手側に渡した後、又は郵送で届いた事を確認した後に買い手側が第3者にGOサインを出し、支払いが完了する。
このような仕組みだったと思います。
この事についてより詳しく知っている方がいらっしゃったらご教授お願いいたします。

お答えくださった方々ありがとうございます。
そうそう、Escrow Agreementの事ですね。
他の御回答も大体の意味合いで合致してるようですが、基本貿易会社等の大きな組織間での事柄でしょうか。
ちなみに今回私が行いたいのは私一個人VS相手一個人で、金額も数千ドルと会社同士のレベルではありません。 情報提供不足ですみませんでした。
もしよろしければ、個人間でのEscrow Agreementサービスをしている大手の会社等をご存知で、教えていただけたら幸いです。（もちろん独自でも調べますが、皆様の知識を頂けたらこれほど心強い事はありません）
