・ Various problems have arisen in boarding procedures at departure and quarantine upon arrival in Japan over the validity of the new coronavirus test certificate required for entry into Japan.
In order to avoid such problems, the MHLW recommends that test certificates be obtained using the designated format （ A German version has been newly added to the test certificate format ） .
● Methods of testing specified by the MHLW ・ Regarding the method of specimen collection, we have already informed you in Newsletter No. 690 and No. 704, etc. Please refer again to 3 in the text below. The Antigen-Schnelltest （ Rapid Antigen Test ）, which is widely used in Germany, is not recognized as a valid test method, and the laryngopharyngeal swab （ Throat Swab / Rachenabstrich ）, a common specimen in Germany, is not recognized as a valid specimen for collection.
●Please see 4 in the following text for laboratories in Bavaria and Baden ＝ Württemberg that are allowed to enter test results in the format designated by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
●In addition, when entering Japan ・ after （ transit ） through Germany from a third country, you are required to present a negative test result of a corona test conducted within 48 hours "before" entering Germany in Germany.

1. Obtain a valid test certificate
After March 19, all entrants to Japan must have a negative coronary test certificate （ conducted within 72 hours "prior to departure" See 3 below for test method and specimen collection method ）. See 3 below for test method and specimen collection method .
There have been cases where passengers have been prevented from boarding the scheduled aircraft at the place of departure or have been prevented from landing in Japan in accordance with the Quarantine Law upon arrival in Japan, even though they were allowed to board the aircraft.

2 Recommendation to use the format designated by MHLW
（ 1 ） To avoid such problems, the MHLW recommends the use of the inspection certificate format designated by the MHLW whenever possible.
Please see the following link for the designated format of the inspection certificate （ A new German version has also been added ） . This format must be completed by the local laboratory and signed or stamped by the physician to be valid.

（ 2 ） If there is no medical institution that can issue examination certificates in the above designated format, the use of any format is not prohibited, but it may take time to confirm the contents when boarding an aircraft or entering Japan. In some cases, the applicant may be denied boarding or may not be allowed to enter Japan based on the Quarantine Law.
In addition, the following items must be included in the optional format.

（ b. ） Corona test certification details （ Testing method （ Collection described in the specified format. ）, test result, date and time of specimen collection, date of determination of test result, date of issuance of test certificate ）

Test certificates based on other than the test specimens and methods recognized as valid by the MHLW will be treated as invalid by the Japanese quarantine office.

I had my second one two weeks ago and my gf had her second one yesterday.

I only got chills the day after the second time, but today
she is feeling much worse, complaining of chills and not feeling well.
Now she is taking tylenol and sleeping. The women around her seem to have worse side effects
the second time around. Still, if this will give me antibodies against corona, then va-va-voom!

If this gets to the whole population, we can move freely again. We are planning to go to FL and NY to see relatives and friends we haven't seen in decades
. I hope we can go this fall.
