夏からカレッジに通おうと思っています。でも、昔から数学が大の苦手です。まず、学校によって違うと思いますが、１年次は必ず取らなければならないんですか？具体的に授業でどのようなことをどれくらいやりますか？カレッジ生の方、できるだけ詳しく教えてください！

私も数学、苦手でしたけど普通にPassしましたよ。私は１年の時には取っていません。でも最終的には必要最低限のMathを取っていないと卒業もトランスファーもできません。
クラスを取る前にテストを受けるのでそれ次第じゃないでしょか。自信がないのであれば少しレベルを落としたところから初めてみてはどうですか？日本よりは易しいのでそこまで心配しなくてもいいと思います。
夏から通うのでしたら日本で中、高の数学の復習するのもいいと思います。

必須の数学の心配は基本的に要りません。内容も簡単ですし、周りが細かいところでいちいち質問するので、授業が全く進みませんでした。
注意するところは教授によって宿題を出す量が全く違うので、それによって難易度が全く変わってきます。。

私も数学が苦手で、とても心配でしたが一応パスできました。
しかし、私のとったelementary algebraで、これはAA degreeへの必須で、もし４年の大学へのトランスファーが必要ならそれ以上が必要になります。
普通に高校の数学を理解していれば出来ると思いますが、数学苦手な私にはかなり辛かったです・・・
