Loan Modification can get you a new loan, and it's at almost the lowest interest rate ever.
Someone I know was able to get a loan with a 2.75% interest rate, and even though the Loan Balance increased, the monthly payment is significantly less. Property tax is not even a Penalty now, even if you can't pay it.
Tenants will have to pay Rent at some point, but homeowners will not be in Foreclosure if they re-mortgage at the lowest interest rate now.
Debt consolidation on credit cards is not uncommon to get the debt cut in half or even less.
