小さな会社を夫が経営しております。
雇用者（市民）の一人が従兄弟を雇って欲しいと申し出てきたため、
インタビューを経て雇用の手続の際にI-9の提出を求めたところ、
在アメリカメキシコ大使館発行のIDを提示され言われたのが以下のとおりです。
「このIDはグリーンカードと同じ役割をする特別なIDだから
もし雇わなければ人種差別で訴える。」
雇用者の一人が言うにはこのIDで銀行口座を開く時やドライバーズライセンスを取得するのにも効力を発揮するとのこと。
夫は訴えられることになるのでしょうか?
どなたかこういったご経験をされた方いらっしゃいますか?
ご助言いただければ幸いです。

銀行口座は開けるけど（銀行によりけり）、ドライバーズライセンスは無理だな。

緑色の線が入ったようなIDですよね?
イリーガルのメキシコ人でもメキシコ大使館でもらえるIDです。逆にアメリカ市民、グリーンカード保持者がそのIDを持つ必要性が謎ですよね。。
ドライバーズライセンスは、イリーガルの移民でも取得できる州がありますが、カリフォルニアは無理です。
「私詳しい事はわからないのでイミグレーションオフィスで働いてる知り合いに聞いてみますね。FAXするのでそれをコピーさせてください」って言ったらビビって拒否すると思いますよ。
