If you have a W-2, you can go to IRS.com and choose a free tax return program that suits you.

If you are not sure, you may want to email the IRS and explain your situation and ask what kind of documentation will be required to prove that you were in Japan last year.
Even if you have not been in the U.S. for 6 months, if you have some income in the U.S., you will need to file a Tax Return.

If you do not do a Tax Return this year, you can do a Tax Return going back 2 － 3 years, but if you have a Green Card, you can only leave the US for 2 years ？ If you are in the US and not working, you do not need a Green Card. If I stay in the U.S. and don't work, I don't need a Green Card ？.

For a tax return of ＜ first year ＞ with GC income, the tax return treatment is completely different depending on the date of GC acquisition and the date of entry into the US.　This makes it very complicated to add Japanese income to your tax return and receive US benefits. I have sent you an email for more details, but I think you should ask a tax accountant who is familiar with Dual-Status.
