一時帰国が決まって確認したところ、なんと日本の運転免許証が切れていました。帰国中仕事でどうしても運転しなければなりません。因みにカリフォルニア・ドライバーライセンスは更新したばかりです。
こちらで国際免許を取得することは可能でしょうか?DMVで行えるのでしょうか?そして、日本で運転をする前に日本の警察や試験上で何か手続きは必要なのでしょうか?
今までは日本の免許があったため、どうして良いやらわからず困っております。もしご存知の方がいらっしゃいましたらどうかお教えくださいませ。
よろしくお願い致します。

CAライセンスは所持しており、つい最近更新したばかりです。
しかしその「海外にいた証明」とは、具体的に何が必要なのでしょうか?そしてその申告は日本の警察署や運転免許試験場に提出するのでしょうか?
もしもお分かりならお教えくださいませ。諦めてはいましたが、出来る事なら日本の免許証が必要なのです。

上記の情報は運転試験場に直接電話して聞きました。証明はパスポートで大丈夫です。ただ翻訳してもらったり、時間がかかるかもしれませんので、とりあえず国際免許で運転し、その間に更新の手続きをすればいいと思います。
