私は、ロサンゼルスにて女性警察官として仕事をしています。日本生まれで学生時代アメリカに引越してきました。現在は、仕事と育児に追われていますが、アメリカで頑張る日本人の方々のお役に少しでもたてればと思い投稿させていただきました。法律や家庭内暴力の相談、逮捕履歴から交通違反の切符に関する質問、子供達の安全面や身近な麻薬に関する問題など、お答えできる範囲でお助けします。気軽に何でも質問してくださいね!!!

#6 危険な目に合うことは日常茶飯事です。
やはりここはアメリカだなと実感しますよ。
いつ何があるかわからない環境での勤務ですが最高に楽しいで :) 仕事趣味のようです。
ただやはり危険な事件はたくさんあるので、出勤する度、無事に帰宅することが目標です!!

体力的には問題なくても、英語がnativeでなければ、”stop “と言う言い方ひとつで、バカにされたりするかも(犯罪者から)
DV等で、興奮したカップルやゲットーのスラングなど、早口でまくし立てられたら、分かりますか？学生時代から渡米ってあるけど中学生からなら、英語もnative に近いかもですが。
ポリスで主婦、子持ち、忙しくて、此処に書き込みなんてする暇ないでしょ？

はい、全て英語ですね。ポリスアカデミーでかなり勉強しました。警官になって5年が経ちましたが未だに毎日が勉強です。
10代の時に日本から来たためもう19年が経ちます :)
