父の永住権をサポートしようと考えています。父は永住権の申請中に一時渡航許可書(advanced parole)を取って日本に帰りたいようです。
でも許可を得るのに３か月かかると言われ、その間に日本で父は日本の医師とのアポが入っており困っています。
許可をもらった人はいつもらえたのでしょうか？早く許可を得た人はいますか？

６月末から一か月ほどシカゴに滞在するので、日本人の美容師に髪を切ってもらいたいと考えているのですが、いい美容院をご存じの方、いらっしゃいませんか。ネットで検索すると、日本風のストレートパーマをやっている所や、日系の人が経営しているらしいサロンは見つかるのですが、日本人の美容師というのが見つかりませんでした…。（今住んでいる所にも日本人の美容師がいないので、うまく髪をすいてもらえず困っています。）

少し浮いたお金があるので、ここアメリカで株を買ってみたいと思うのですが、どこで購入できるのでしょうか?
日本のような証券会社はアメリカにありますか?
EtradeやAmeritradeのような所で購入したらいいんでしょうかね?
ご存知の方教えて下さい。

シカゴでオートバイを購入し、ロスまでアメリカを横断したいと予定しています。
航空券を取得し、シカゴでの最初の宿泊をHI Chicagoユースホステルに予約しています。
決めてあるのはこの2点だけ あとはついてから決めます。65歳の男性です。
どんなことでも結構ですのでアドバイス等お願いします。
ちなみに初めての海外旅行です。

いま出先でレンタカーを借りています。
空港で外装をぱっとみて問題なかったので走り出しのですが、フリーウェーを走っていたらカタカタと音が鳴るので確かめてみたら右車輪のカバーみたいなところがぱっくりと割れていました。保険はLDW SLIに加入しています。
英語がそれほどうまくありません。あと数日で返却するのですが、なんと伝えればいいでしょうか。
保険に入っている旨はもちろん伝えるとして、問題なく切り抜けるためにには具体的になんと英語で言えばいいか教えてください。
年に１，２回ほどレンタカーをしますが、あまり整備されていない車にあたってしまったみたいですが、普通なのでしょうか。車内は若干お菓子の屑、ワイパーがスムーズではない、２日目にタイヤの空気圧のサインが点灯など問題ありありです。問題があったことを返却時にいうべきなのでしょうか。

数年前 Weekly La La Laに日本人の方が経営する小規模な農場のことが掲載されていました。
梅園があって、そこで立派な梅を帰って美味しくいただいたのだとか。
Hesperia にあるIK Farm という農場で 石川さんと加藤さんという方が運営されているとだけで
細かな住所や連絡先は書いていませんでした。
入り口にはわかりやすい看板等もなく、訪れるのには事前予約が必要なのだそうです。
Google でも出てこないので、当時から気になって、ついには編集部にメールまで送ったのですが無視されてしまいました。
どなたか、この農場のことをご存知のかたいらっしゃいませんか。
または、別の場所でもいいので、梅狩り（？）のできるような場所がありましたら教えていただきたいです。
宜しくお願いします。

当方留学経験ありで生活に困らない程度の英語力はあるのですが、とても中途半端でまた勉強したいと考えています。
ネイティブスピーカーのニュアンス的な、教科書には載ってないような部分の英語を磨きたいので、長年英語圏に住んでいらした日本人の方がいらっしゃったら是非教えていただきたいです。
当方子供がおりますため、平日の日中か、土日で都合をつけてくださる方だと嬉しいです。お値段はご相談させていただけたらと思います。

ロスアンゼルスからどんどんいなくなってる気がしますし、又こちらに来る日本人も少なくなってるような気がしますが、
それは何故ですか？トランプ大統領のせい？ 他に理由は何ですか？

アメリカに住んで30年ですが、
今迄怖い思いや危険を感じた事ないです。
根を張って生きて行く人には、住めば都です。
人種差別も感じるどころか、アメリカ人は何故か礼儀正しく優しく、何時も不思議と思うのは、あちらから理由もなくニコニコ スマイルする習慣。
これは日本では、まずない事ですよね。
今は日本に帰るのではなく、訪れるで満足しています。
将来の老後のホームもアメリカのおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんと仲良くやって生きたいと思うようになりました。
別に日系の老人ホームは興味ないです、
食べ物は別ですが。
こちらのアメリカのおじいちゃんはユーモアのセンス抜群で包容力もあり、
一緒にいると日本の人といるより落ちつきます(英語がペラペラでない私でも)
今は、ここカリフォルニアに骨をうずめる覚悟です。

そういえば、2、3年前
車の中にIPad置いて窓を半分開けたままでしたが、3時間立っていたのに無事でした。コスタメサの元マルカイのパーキングで買い物や近くのbookoff、ヘアカットしての帰りでした。
地域によってですが、日本のように
平和で安全な所は沢山ありますね。
アーバインも天国みたいな所で日本に帰りたくなくなります。
トーランスに住んでおられる「LightHouse」の編集者の方が言っておられた言葉が忘れられません。
「トーランスは日本とアメリカのいいとこ取りのような所」
ほんと同感至極！
