車がノンペレーションになっているのですが、その車を乗れる様にするには何が必要なのでしょうか?
保険に入ってそれを持ってDMVに行けば、それで事は済むのでしょうか?
DMVに電話してもいつも繋がらないし、WEBでみても分かりませんでした。
教えて下さい。宜しくお願いします。

Non Operationになってる車はDMVでInsuranceの証明書をもってOperationalに切り替えてください。その際にRigisteration Feeを払う事（Stickerをもらう為に）になりますが車の種類、年数によって払うお金が違います。一度、DMVに足を運んだ方が早いのかもしれませんね。あまり答えになってないですね苦笑 すみません。。。

DMVが混んでて電話にもでないならメンバーだったらAAAに聞いてみたら良いと思います。普通のRegistration等はAAAで出来るので。

皆さんご回答有難う御座います。
レジストは1月で切れてその時にノンオペにしました。
ですがもしレジストの更新をした場合、今年はスモッグチェックは必要ない年でした。（来年が必要な年でした）
保険に入らないといけないのは分かりますが、この場合でもスモッグチェックを受けないといけないのでしょうか?
もしそうなら、どうやってスモッグチェックを受けに行くかの問題が発生してしまいます。
また質問で申し訳ありませんが、皆さん引続き宜しくお願いします。

もし、スモッグチェックを受けないとレジストができないのであれば、ＤＭＶで一日だけ動かしてもいい「one day moving permission」を発行してもらいます。私がそれをもらいに行ったときは。それにはお金はかかりませんでした。

保険代理店がスモッグが必要かどうかをVIN#から調べてくれるとの事なので、近いうちに行ってみます。

こんにちは。
結局、名義変更する時に全部の手続きを済ませました。
仮のレジストを出してくれて60日以内にスモッグをすれば、本物のレジストとピンクスリップをくれるみたいです。
皆様色々と有難う御座いました。
