Union Bank in Los Angeles will eventually go away and be replaced by another bank name

I have a similar experience.
A friend of mine, a grandmother in her late 60s, asked me to rent her address for a year, and I agreed for one year, and it has been 5 years. She had asked a friend before, but one day she was furious and said she could no longer use the friend's address. I didn't understand why her friend was so furious, but when I tried it, I understood. I wonder what they would do if they leave their bank account here to return to Japan permanently. You could go to the SS office and change your receiving account for your pension in the US and they would send it to you. Japanese pension is every two months, so if you go back and open a bank account and change the pension transfer.

Even with a Green Card, you can't just throw the jury summons letter in the trash as it is.
Even if you live in any country in the world with a Green Card, you still have to file the same taxes as a US citizen.

Some people who return home permanently take their Green Card home with them and keep it as a souvenir, though.
