Vivinavi Hawaiiステータスチェンジについて

F1からJ1へのステータスチェンジは可能でしょうか。ビザのサポート業者に聞いたら、一度日本に帰ってから、新たにJ1の申請をする方法しかないといわれました。
どなたか最近米国国内でステータスチェンジされた方いませんか。
詳細を知っている方、いろいろ教えてください。

来週から語学学校に行く者です。
J-1ビザからF-1ビザへのステータスチェンジは可能です。
でも、申請してからどのくらい掛かるかわからず、半年かかる場合もあると言われ、許可されなかった場合には、オーバーステイになる場合もあるとのことだったので、私は一時帰国しました。

M1からF1など一部ステータスチェンジ不可能なケースもありますが、F1からJ1へのチェンジは可能です。
ただJ1への申請をして受理をされるまで時間がかかる場合があります。それまではF1のステータスをキープ、つまりは学費を収めて学校へ通い続けなければなりません。
また、J1へステータスチェンジした後に日本へ一時帰国など在アメリカ国外へ出た場合、アメリカに戻る前に大使館で面接を受ける必要があります。（ステータスチェンジだとビザスタンプがないため、J1としてアメリカに再入国が出来ない）
上記のように私は認識しておりますが、ビザ関連のルールは変わる場合がよくありますので、ご自身でもリサーチしてみて下さいね。
私の友人はF1からJ1のチェンジを試みましたが、J1申請に必須なDS2019がなかなか降りず、諦めて日本へ帰国し、日本でビザを取得して戻って来ました、１年前の話ですが。。。
