Since I have been told so many untrue things by US customer service, I don't 100% trust the statement that they will send a cash card to Japan, so I would pay $5 to get a new one and go home. It is not unusual to be told what you can do that you can't, or what you can't do that you can. If it is clearly stated in the terms and conditions or written on the bank's website, it is a different story. But even if it is clearly stated, it is not unusual to be treated differently, so it is best to protect yourself as much as possible.

I suggest you ask questions of locals in the "Hawaii PUA Updates&Support" Facebook Group （ to see which advice is not based on word of mouth but on real life examples. ）.

You can also ask the call center, but the PUA, like the UI, has been getting disparate advice from the call center for the last year.

After getting advice from locals on the Facebook Group, I think it would be a good arrangement to reconfirm with the call center whether the advice is accurate before submitting the labor report, which would prevent as much trouble as possible later on.

If you have been paid since you obtained unemployment insurance, you can answer YES. Paid pay falls under "residual pay".

If the employer information disappears on your next File a Claim Certification application, you are done. Alternatively, you can open the Reactivate a Claim application until you are about to click the submit button to check if the employer information is missing.

I don't know how many days it will take this year when the UI system is upgraded, but last year, there were many cases where the employer information disappeared 2 or 3 days after the Reactivate a Claim application was submitted.

I recently moved and got 1500 ＄ ＋ a month and a half free at nobhill studios. There were cheaper places around, but I thought it was the best for the size. I can't imagine that before Corona, the cheapest studio was 2500 ＄ and the most expensive was usually 3000 ＄ or more. I don't know how much cheaper it will get, but I hear it will be another year or so before it goes back to normal.

I'm really annoyed with the receptionists and nurses who ask me 3 or 4 times in one routine checkup if the flu shot is free ？ or if it's because the hospital gets paid ？ or if I really don't get it ？ every time. I've never had the flu, though I've never had a flu shot, and maybe that one time a few years ago when I might have had the flu, but I worked normally. As you can imagine, I got flustered when I went to the gym, so I stopped exercising. By the way, I hear good people around me say they got the flu for the first time after taking a flu shot.
