Hello. I took the 3 year old test at Central Union this past January. I wanted to put my daughter in a pre-school (3 year old class ， I was 2 years old and my daughter was born in June and she was much younger than the children born in August/September.
15 minutes only children entered the classroom with about 4 children and parents waited in the church. I asked my daughter and she said they played with toys. We received the results by letter two weeks later. My daughter was lucky to be accepted, but I heard that the ratio was much higher than last year. This year, however, it is difficult because of the high ratio of applicants.

However, I would not send them to Central Union. After all, Central Union only has pre, and Punahou and Iolani don't have very high acceptance rates these days, and everyone seems to be going to Midpac, St. Andrews, and Montessori. Many children are going to Public, and Central Union does not seem to be a feeding school to Punahou and Iolani as it used to be.
Same as Waiokeola these days.

If you want to put your child in public kinder, Central Union is a great place to grow and have a child free atmosphere.
However, if you are thinking about taking the Kinder exam, it would be difficult to do so at Central Union.

Thank you for the details ！ 2 ・ Even 3 year olds are tested or checked. I was surprised to find out that there is a preschool for 3 year olds. ‼️ I just did a search for preschools and found out that there is a school for 3 year olds to get accepted to preschools, which is unbelievable. I am not thinking of taking the entrance exam. I have lived in Hawaii for a long time, but I am completely ignorant about parenting and education, and I only recently found out that Central Union is a pre-school. I thought it was just a regular church. A friend of mine told me that Kaimuki's preschool is also good, so I am considering that as well.

I got my pearl necklace fixed at a store called "Beads It" around 11th Ave. in Kaimuki.
I looked for a lot of places, but Bead-it was the most conscientious and polite shop I could find.

There is also a place on the 4th floor of Macy's in Ala Moana that fixes jewelry and watches. There is quite a line on weekends, but it is surprisingly empty on weekdays. They can fix even high-end items.
