この状態でカルフォルニア運転免許を取得することは可能でしょうか？
SSAにSSN申請をしに行ったところ、「この戸籍謄本の翻訳書類だと申請に2ヶ月くらいかかる、領事館で婚姻証明を取ってから来て欲しい」と言われてしまいました。
ただ、手元にある戸籍謄本が発行から3ヶ月以上経ってしまったため申請できないようで、どうしようか悩んでいます。
どなたか教えていただけると助かります。
よろしくお願いいたします。

解決済みのところ恐縮ですがビザによってはSSNなしでDLが取れるはずです。
ビザの書類、パスポート等を持ってDMVに行ってみてはいかがでしょうか。
JBAという団体が上記について詳しかったと思うので聞いてみると良いと思います。

ちなみにDMVのアポイントメントが取れるのは市にもよりますが相当先になりますので早めに予約を取った方がいいと思います。
オンラインで取れます。

国連が発行している国際免許は簡単に取れますよ

ビザによってはなくても取得できるかもしれないのですね。勉強になります。私のビザだとやはり必要になるようです。。。
国際免許は、日本で取得済みです。戸籍謄本が手元にない場合で日本で取った国際免許の期限が切れてしまったときは国連の国際免許を取得するという手段もあるかもしれないのですね。こちらもとても勉強になりました。

私はSSNなしで、家族の合同ビザありで、免許取得できました。
DMVでビザの証明を提出したら、OKでしたよ。DMVに直接いって問題ないと思います。

解決済みのようですが数年前からカリフォルニアは違法移民にも免許証を与えることにしたのではなかったですか？だからssnなしでも大丈夫なんじゃないでしょうか？
