特にアメリカに興味があった訳ではないのですが、突然の主人の転勤に付き添ってロスに来ました。価値観の違いから相手を不快にさせているようなのですが、何が気に入らなかったのかさっぱりわかりません。こちらの人と何とか仲良く付き合っていきたいので今本を読んで勉強中ですが、本ってちょっと古い情報なんじゃないかな〜と思って・・。良いアドバイスや体験談などあったら教えてください。ちなみに今わかってきた事は、「謙遜の美徳はまったくなし！うそでもいいから自分を大きく見せよう！」今特に疑問なのは「いったいここの人達はどういう時にI am sorryと言うのだろう？そしてそれは何故？」です。

あたしはBLACKの血が混ざってるから「汚い黒」なんて言われたらムッとします。日本の血も混ざってるから日本人の悪口はいいたくないけど、そういうあなたは、よっぽど人間として美しい人なんでしょうか？そうとは思えない。そういう人が「汚い黒」なんて言うはずないものね。犯罪を犯すのは人種は関係ないでしょう？

うっわ〜！ちょっと見ない間にこんなに討論が交わされてるとは・・・。正直びっくり！私は初めこの土地に着いた時、旦那の上司（ドイツ系アメリカン）にJapanese American,Be careful!と注意を受けました。その言葉に忠実に過ごしてきて今の所騙された事はないです。AIさんへ夫婦仲は良いです。日本にいる時より毎日話題がつきないかも。私がこの掲示板に初投稿したのは、夫婦だけの世界だと世界が狭いな〜と思って長く住んでる人の意見も聞きたかったからです。皆さんの意見を読んで、日本にいる時と違って、（人種にあまりこだわらず）あんまり親しそうに話し掛けてくる人はまず疑ってかかろうかな〜と思います。それにしても私の生活ではメキシカンや黒人の方々と親しくなる機会はないですけど、どこで知り合うんですか？
