Huntington Beach is home to many white radical Trump fans. If you are a Trump fan, I would recommend it, but if you are not, you may find it rather disturbing. They parade around with flags and it's pretty violent.
I heard that there is no corona in Huntington Beach, so everyone is enjoying themselves without getting vaccinated or wearing masks. From the outside, it looks like a weird white town.

What part of Huntington Beach ？ The communities along the beach are all very open and friendly. I know you are anxious, and I understand your concern. Just because Huntington Beach has few Asians, it doesn't matter if your husband is white. It's hard to imagine what would happen otherwise. And you don't have to stay in HB all day to begin with.

Topi is 25 years old. There seems to be a generation gap with the residents here. If you want to be within walking distance of hip cafes and bars, Huntington Beach would be ideal.

There is no EBISU Market or EBISU Ramen anymore, but I believe there was an Elvis karaoke place.
Fountaln Valley is good because it has a lot of Asian people and is next to Huntington Beach.

It's weird, but once you're infected, you're not that alarmed. I think it's more unusual for people to be too scared of coronas to stay back for years like this.

From a housewife's point of view, Torrance is generally safe, and it is a very comfortable and convenient place to live.
There are several Japanese supermarkets, so you can buy Japanese goods at low prices. There are many expatriates from Asian companies as well as Japanese companies, so there is no awkward atmosphere.
Although it is not a stimulating place, I think it is ideal for daily life.

Torrance has become full of big warehouses since the big companies moved out
and because of that, there are 18 wheeler trailers all over the place and the air quality is getting worse
Prices and rent are blatantly high compared to other cities
I don't know how much HB is, but as it is now, I wouldn't recommend Torrance.

Don't go to LB. There are gang wars, and it's bad during the day.

Long Beach is a safe place to live, too. Rent is expensive, but,
I think it would be nice to be near Long Beach if your work is in Long Beach because of the mix of different races.
I wonder if it's HB because her husband is white and Republican ？.

Long Beach is served by the Blue Line, and late last night a passenger was shot while getting off at the Blue Line's Washington Station. The passenger who was shot died instantly.
Only Fox News is reporting it.

LB is a normal nighttime pier, but once you get to the land side, there are a few places that look unsafe. It is a shame because the streets are beautifully maintained.

Even in Torrance, I would not recommend the areas with zip codes 90501 and 90502. 90501 and 90502 have some safe places, but not many.
If you are considering Torrance, Palos Verdes is better. The downside is that it's far from the freeway, though.

Huntington Beach is not bad, but if LB is your workplace, Irvine is fine.
Costa Mesa is also good if you don't mind the school district for your kids, but not many Japanese.

I used to live in Long Beach with my family for a few years and it was easy to live on the ocean side, around E ocean Blvd and Redondo ave. I think Long Beach could be a good choice, especially if you are just a couple.
As others have said, the interior of Long Beach is quite unsafe, so be careful in choosing a place.
Long Beach is a good place to live in terms of location because you can go to both LA and OC. Torrance is good for zip codes 90503 and 90505. Other than that, there are some gangs living there, so please be careful. Huntington Beach has a lot of weird Japanese people living in Huntington Beach too. There are people whose husbands are white and rabid Trump fans, people who say they will never vaccinate, and many others. Of course there are many decent people among them, but my impression is that there are many strange people.
If Long Beach is your place of work, I would also recommend Palos Verdes, rolling hills estates, which is on the side near 110.
