来週末にﾛｻﾝｾﾞﾙｽに渡米するため、海外で使用できる携帯電話の購入を考えています。低料金でおさめたいので、お薦めの会社を教えてください。因みにﾉｷｱやﾓﾄﾛｰﾗが主流なのでしょうか?お答え宜しくお願いします。

海外で使用できる携帯とは？
LAにこられるのですか？
期間は？
短期ですか？
長期ならばこちらへ到着してから
現地の携帯を購入したほうがいいと思うのですが
短期ならばプリペイドタイプもありますよ
いずれにしても事前に日本で購入されるのですか？
メリットは？？
日本とそれ以外の大部分の国とは方式が違いますよ
いずれにしても前提をもう少し説明してくれないと
よくわかりませんね

今現在日本からアクセスさせて頂いています。説明が不十分で申し訳ありません。来週末から約3ヵ月の間ﾛｽに滞在するつもりです。期間的には長期になるのでしょうか。こちらで購入するよりも現地(ﾛｽ)で購入したほうが安いのでしょうか?海外の携帯について無知なので、ｱﾄﾞﾊﾞｲｽを頂けたら幸いです。

こちらでの携帯電話会社は、ＡＴ＆Ｔ、Ｔ−Ｍｏｂｉｌｅ， Ｖｅｒｉｚｏｎ Ｗｉｒｅｌｅｓｓなどがありますが、正規契約は大抵2年です。ですので、3ヶ月は長期契約とはならないはずです。契約終了前に解約はできますが、かなりの契約解消料を取られてしまいます。（確か、$300〜$400） それに、ソーシャルセキュリティーが無ければ、契約時に高額のデポジットを取られる可能性もありますよ。ただ、ロスには短期で携帯を貸してくれる日系の携帯屋がありますのでそちらで借りられる方が無難では。友人は、電話を使うのを抑え（月極携帯レンタル料$15と一通話 25セントで）、月々の支払いが＄４５〜＄５０位でした。
