皆さんに聞きたい事があるんですけど、以前他の車に私の車を少しぶつけられヘッドライトの方などに少し目立つ傷とかがあるんですね。
その後に警察にポリスリポートを書いて貰ったのですが私の車にサルベージって付くのでしょうか？
基本的にどの段階からサルベージになるのかが分からないんですが何方か分かる方がいらっしゃいましたら教えて下さい。

Salvageになる一例です。保険会社が関与し、事故による損傷の修理見積もりがその車両の現在価値の80％程度以上になると全損(Total Loss)という扱いになります。その際に保険金が支払われた後DMVへ通知されSalvageとなります。
言い換えればどんな大事故車でも保険会社などの関与がなく、自己負担で修理し、DMVなどへも非通知の場合Salvageにはなりません。

100％確実な情報ではないのですが、たしか、Salvageかどうかというのは、保険会社が判断するんじゃなかったかなあ。判断基準としては、そのダメージの修理費が車の価値を超えるものがSalvageだとされるように記憶しています。
なので、少しぶつけられ少し目立つ傷とか程度だったらSalvageにならないと思いますよ。私も、以前、事故を起こした時にポリスレポートを書かれて、保険会社は3000ドルぐらいの修理代をカバーしたようですが、その時点での車の価値がそれよりあったので、Salvageにはなりませんでしたから。
