私ロス近郊で学生をしております。何分お金がないものでご多分に漏れず、バイトをして生計を助けておりました。バイトは食品販売関連で、個人経営をしているところに雇われていました。後から聞いた話ではこの人は支払いが悪いということで有名だとか。私は何とかチェックは手に入れたものの、口座のほうにお金を入れていないため現金化できない状態です。電話をして入金をお願いしても「今度入れる」の一点張り。結果として数ヶ月たってもバイト代が手に入らない状態です。こういう場合、どうすれば（一部でも）お金を手に入れることが出来るのでしょうか。学生という立場上打つ手がないのではないかと途方にくれております。皆様のお知恵を頂けたらと思います。

噂で聞いた話だと労働局とイミグレは違うのでいくら違法で働いていたとしても労働局にはクレームできると聞きました。但し、9．11以降、状況が変わったかもしれないので調べられた方がいいと思います。雇用主が学生という立場を利用して足元を見ている可能性があるのでとりあえずは入金がなければ労働局に相談すると脅してみては？

支払いをしてくれない雇用主ってよく聞くよね。＃３のひとの意見は正しいと思うけど、それをしたことによって、辞めさせられたり、扱いが悪くなったりって話よく聞くよ！！私の友人もある弱小会社で働いてて月の給料が７００ドル毎日10間以上働いていてこの値段。その少ない給料でさえ決められた日にもらえないという始末。それでも、なかなか仕事が見付からない今、文句を言う事も出来ない状況が続いている。足元を見て人をやとっている雇い主ってのは変な意味で腹が据わっているのでやっかいなんだなー。下手に訴える、労働局に相談するというと、逆上するパターンも…。しかし、そんな雇い主に限って情に訴えてくる、経営が苦しい事を強調して、社員の前では貧乏ぶりを発揮！実際は新車を買ったり、嫁は派手な装いをしていたりと金は持ってるハズ！きもーい。
