どなたかレタスラップなどによく入っているシャキシャキした芋のような野菜の名前をご存じないですか?
そしてそれはVonsやRalphsのようなスーパーで手にはいるものなんでしょうか。
適当な野菜とミンチ肉でうちでも作って見たいと思ったのですが、やっぱりあのシャキシャキ感があったほうがおいしいと思うんです。
よろしくお願いします。

ではないでしょうか?

ナッツという言葉が入っているだけで、野菜です。

wrap 自体が新しいフードなので、何でもアリって感じなんですが、water chestnuts の代わりとして、jicama やそれこそ長十郎系の asian pear でもいいんじゃないですか?

Water Chestnutsの名前を知りたかったんだと思いますけど。
レタスラップはただ例えとして挙げただけでしょ。

梨やjicamaで代用というのは良いアイデアですね。食感を保ちながら缶詰ではないフレッシュな食材を使えるので、レストランのものとはまたちょっと違ったおいしいものができそうです。「適切」なアドバイスをありがとう！
