びびなび Los Angelesスモッグチェックについて。

スモッグチェックについて質問なのですが、スモッグチェックは購入後の名義変更で必ずやらないといけないことなのでしょうか？それともレジストの更新時にやるもの？教えてください。

両方ともやらないとダメじゃないかな。名義変更の時は前のオーナーがスモッグを通す義務があるよ。レジストの時は２年に一回だけだと思う。
あと路上で抜き打ちスモッグなんてもある（知らない人多いけど）。

２年に一回・・・に補足。
レジストレーションの際、60日以内であればいいそうですよ。
ちなみに、これはどれくらい知られているかわかりませんが、
ＤＭＶでやるよりは、ＡＡＡでやった方が断然早くて簡単です。
会員である必要がありますけどね。

どちらも費用は同じですよ。
AAAに未加入ならばその場で加入でき（＄64）、その後レジストできます。
レジスト費用以外にはかかりません。
