６月に京都に転勤が決まったんですけど。住むにあたってお勧めの所とそうでないところを地元の方に教えてもらいたく出てきてみました。よろしくお願いします。ちなみに当方徳島です。

日本から、観光ビザで入ってきた友人が飲酒運転でチケットを切られた。彼は以前こっちに住んでいてＣＡのドライバーズライセンス＆自分の車を持っています。法廷にいったり、弁護士等などのお金が要るようです。誰かよい弁護士、又は似たようなケースをご存知の方、情報お願いします。

こないだＴＲＹしたらことごとく失敗しました。皆さんはアメリカで値切ったことがありますか？また、あるとしたらどのような方法で値切っていますか？教えてください！！

大きい店じゃだめでしょう。
そういうとこはアルバイトとかおおいし
値切ったりできる人たちはめったにでてこないし。値切るのは経営者や値切る権限のある人にいわないとだめじゃないかな。
下っ端のひとにあの店はこの価格だからもっとさげてとかいってもその人はどうすることにもできないし。

１０年ほど前ですが、サーキットシティーで、冗談半分で店員にマケテヨって聞いてみたら、マネージャーに聞きに行ってくれて、５-１０％ぐらいは安くしてくれました。あと、オープンボックスとか、必ず安くなりますね。
ま、ダメもとで聞いてみたらどうでしょ。損はしないし。

ギターセンターで６００ドルくらいのアンプを値切ろうとしたのですが、聞いた時点で駄目だった。以前、１３００ドルくらいの楽器を買ったときは、１５０くらいまけてもらったのですが。。。今度また、小規模の個人経営の店でＴＲＹしてみるつもりです。皆さんどのように値切ってますか。おおちゃくな考えだと思うのですが、何かアドバイスください。

あなたの外見が女性でよければ１００パーセントまけてくれます。アメリカってなんだかんだいって、かなり外見重視の国ですよ。

携帯電話内臓のPDAを知ってるかたいませんか？
外でもネットと通話ができるし、便利そうなので持とうと思っているのですが、日本語が読める（またできれば書ける）機種ってこっちにあるんでしょうか？
どの機種がいいのか値段と機能で迷ってます。
日本製の製品は日本の店頭で聞いたらアメリカでは使えないといわれました。
あと今PDA使ってるかたの感想も聞きたいです。よろしくお願いします！

携帯電話内臓ではないけど、この前日本へ行ったとき、ソニーのクリエを買いました。もちろん、アメリカではネットに接続できないけど、普通にいろんなことできますよ。私のはカメラつきなので、動画、静止画、音声録音などもできます。日本へ帰ったときは、スロットカード？でしたっけ？それを差し込めばネットもできるけど、小さい画面だし、いろいろ不便だと思います。だた、大至急メールが送りたいとかだったら良いかもしれないけど。わたしだったら、いらいらしてくると思う。結局日本では携帯で何でもできるし、カメラの性能も今のところは１３０万画素くらいだからネットも出来るし、電話機能もあるしということで、日本ではPDAはあまりはやらないんだそう。PDAを小さなコンピューターとして求める人がいるからだそうです。アメリカではPDAはちゃんと確立したもので、家の彼もアメリカ版クリエを使っているけど、それこそただの手帳として使っています。ただカメラがついていたら面白いくらいかな。買うときにザウルスと迷ったけど、結局ソニーにしました。ただザウルスの画面はさすがに最高でしたけど。初めて買ったのでどこまで使えるか試しているところです。

僕は アイダホ州（かなり田舎）からＣＡへ 移ったんですけど アイダホの時は 申し込みのその日に ナンバーもらいましたよ（爆） ＣＡでは僕の友達もかなり ナンバーを修得するのに てこずってましたけどハリウッドの辺り？で やっともらえたらしいですよ。 地域によって厳しさが違う様なので 地道に足を運んでトライしてみては どうでしょうか？ あまり助けにはなってないですけど何かとナンバーは 必要ですよね。。。 頑張って下さい！

何でそこまでしてSSN欲しいの？
持ってなくてもあまり不自由は感じないけどな。むしろ学生で持ってて学内じゃなくて外で働くときにSSN使っちゃう方がやばいんじゃないの、今のご時世。

私が今までしたバイトは、テープのタイプおこし$20〜30/件、事務$9/h、テレアポ$10/件、ウェイトレス(↑に書いたのとは別のトコ)$6.75/h ＋TIP、営業$20/件、ベビーシッター(夜間)$7、洋服販売$6.75 ＋ボーナス!?(売り上げによる)、
観光案内(アシスタント)$80/d・・・などなどです。

私はアメリカ人の友達が仕事場で手伝って欲しいっていうから、じゃぁ働きましょう！っていうことになりました（笑）。今は少ないけど、日本語での電話やメールなどを手伝うなら、労働ビザの取得援助もしてくれるそう。
でも、違うことを目指してるので、ちょっと今考え中です。働きながら目指すのも手かなぁ・・なんて。
