To those of you who have not experienced the previous PEUC 13-week extension and are
applying for PEUC for the first time,

you may have many questions and doubts about your first PEUC, please follow and read the list in #158 first. The process from "application" to "approval" that others have written and shared with us is very helpful. You also shared it in the "PEUC not yet approved" topic. If you are unable to read the two topics, please ask the call center directly.

If you are having trouble getting your PEUC review approved, please read how you all handled it in the "PEUC not yet approved" topic. 13 week PEUC extension approval took 2 weeks at the earliest and 3+ months at the latest. It is best to expect that the PEUC review process is a long one. Please note that we do not provide consultation regarding lack of approval.

When you start a new job or change payroll companies or HR jurisdictions, you will need to enter "Last Day Worked" when you apply for Reactivate a Claim. Please follow the steps below. Please follow the steps below.

Enter the date of the Reactivate a Claim application as "Last Day Worked".

If Worked:
Enter the last day of the week worked. For example, if your first day was January 11 （ Monday ）, and you worked January 13 （ Wednesday ） January 15 （ Friday ）, and you apply for Reactivate a Claim after January 17 （ Sunday ）, enter January 15 as "Last Day Worked". We have received some new information that we couldn't believe our ears, so we are sharing it with you as a reminder. We know that many of you are looking for a new job.

One person received an offer letter after interviewing for a job and turned it down for no reason, the Details section in the filing showed the following, which completely voided his unemployment insurance.

The reason for this is that the employer to whom the applicant was applying reported to the UI office that the applicant had refused the offer letter. This arrangement is the normal rule laid down by the UI Office for companies.

Please be cautious and careful when turning down offer letters without reason, especially since large companies tend to follow this arrangement very closely.

For example, if the offer letter is far from the hourly rate or conditions listed in the job posting, it is a good idea to explain this to the potential employer and keep a copy to show the UI office later.

There were several people on the locals' board who went through the same thing and lost their unemployment insurance eligibility.

[Regarding the recent Glitch （ System Error ）

I saw a share about Glitch and I would like to share it.

Glitch has been happening since last week due to （ ？ ） impact of system implementation of PEUC 11 weeks extension and FPUC $300 per week. If you see the following, it is a Glitch on the part of the UI office. No need to worry, just wait and see until the PEUC 11-week extension is introduced in the system.

[Mailing to UI Office]

As the team responsible also mentioned, due to the recession caused by the Corona effect, there have been a number of thefts during the mailings. In my friend's area, there was an incident where mail left in the delivery truck was stolen when the post office staff was away from the delivery truck to deliver to their respective homes, and the post office sent a letter of apology.

If you are not sure whether to choose the PEUC 11-week extension or the EB20 application, or if you are not sure about EB20 cancellation.

The following is almost the same information shared in the "PEUC Unemployment Insurance 13 Week Extension Program" Topic, ＃ 753, for those who have already applied for EB20.

I called the call center the day before yesterday and asked if everyone who applied for EB20 would automatically be switched to the PEUC 11 week extension.
As written in ＃ 181 above, I was told that the UI would contact the applicant and confirm whether they would stay on EB20 or switch to the PEUC 11-week extension.

Some applicants who applied for EB20 may have used up the balance of their PEUC 13-week extension prior to 12/26/20 and chose EB20 to receive benefits for the subsequent 1 or 2 weeks
.

If you switch to the PEUC 11-week extension, you can only apply for retroactive claim from the week of 1/2/21/END, so you will not get these two blank weeks （ You should check yourself when you are contacted by the UI to be sure. ） .

[When I said that Mercury told me that some people were told that they could get it because they were told that they could get it retroactively even if they extended PEUC 11 weeks, they replied that they did not know why they were told so]

Also, the remaining amount of PEUC 11 weeks extension is 0 It is also not clear that if you reach the Benefit Year End before you reach the 11 weeks, you can continue to receive it until you reach the 11 weeks after that. The answer was vague, but there is a possibility that you can get it.

If you are unsure about cancelling your EB20, you should think carefully before switching to the 11-week PEUC extension （ One disadvantage of staying on EB20 is that if your EB20 is denied, you may not be able to return to the 11-week PEUC. ） .

Regarding #19, I have a feeling that Hawaii has been delayed because of the old UI system （ compared to other states, ） and the lack of budget to upgrade to a new version and the difficulty in implementing systems such as $300 FPUC weekly.
