１１年生の息子がいるシングルマザーです。
限られた収入のなかで生活しているため、息子が車を持つのは大学に入ってからと考えていました。できるかぎり私が送り迎えをしますし、公共の交通機関なども使える地域に住んでいるのですが、私の仕事が忙しい上に彼の活動範囲も広がって、送り迎えが正直しんどくなってきました。
息子に車を持たせようかと考えているのですが、５０００ドルぐらいの中古車セダンを買ったとして、保険代などは月々いくらぐらいかかるものなのでしょうか?
周囲に高校生の子どもを持つ人がいなくて、まるで見当がつきません。
だいたい最低でもこれぐらいは覚悟して、という額があったら教えていただけないでしょうか。
あと私が送り迎えができないときにUberを使わせてはどうかとも考えるのですが、
実際にお子様の送迎に利用している方はいらっしゃいますか?
息子は当然運転したがっています。
みなさまは高校生のお子さんに運転させていますか?
費用のことなども含めまして、どうかご教示をよろしくお願いいたします。

ちょっと思ったんですが、もう一台車を買って保険料の追加もきついなら、クルマ一台を二人で乗れるようにしたらどうでしょうか? つまり、必ずしもお母さんが息子さんを送り向かいするんじゃなくて、その逆に息子さんがお母さんを送り向かいするとか、行先や時間帯によって臨機応変にフレキシブルにしてみたら、駄目でしょうかね? 場合によってはお母さんがＵｂｅｒを使うとか。そんなんでなんとかならないですかね? ５０００ドルではあまり安心できる車は買えないような気がします。
