３月に起きた東日本の震災で大きなダメージを受けた日本ですが、まだまだ捨てたもんじゃあありませんよ。それでは日本列島を取り巻く良いところと悪いところを話し合ってみたいと思います。以下は自分が独善的に書き出したものですが参考までにしてみてください。
「資産」まずはこれでしょう 日本人と善良な外国人・次に平和憲法・甲子園・宝塚・大相撲・NHK・AKB48・SMAP・わだあきこ・猿も温泉を満喫できる等々
「負債」まずはこれでしょう 能力の低い政治家と政府・次に不良外国人・変な教職員団体・No.９・変な宗教団体・地震・津波・SMAP・変なTV番組等々
皆さんはどうお考えですか?

確か一番最近の訳者は瀬戸内静寂さんでしたよね?
あまり古い訳者の作品はそれなりに古い表現をしているでしょうから理解しにくいかもしれないので、最近から２人くらいに絞って捜してみます。
そして日本人訳者に限定します。
源氏物語はあのシェークスピアよりも何百年も前の作品ですから、日本文学史上いや日本文化の一大傑作の一つだと信じます。

瀬戸内静寂さんのは英語訳じゃなくて現代語訳ですね。昔どの帖か抜粋されたのを原文と現代語訳を比較しながら勉強した様な気がします。

源氏物語ってそんなにすごいのですか?知らなかったです。こっちの女の子たちもみんな喜んでいます。ましてやシェークスピアよりも何百年も古いなんて。それから現在大河でやっている江姫たちの戦国の主役の江の娘の一人は帝に嫁いでいるのですね。そんなことも大河のテレビを見るまで知りませんでした。徳川家康もそんなに嫌う要素はないなと思うようになりました。
