私は煙草を吸わないので煙が大の苦手です。今の彼も今までの彼も煙草を全く吸いません。でも、私の友達や彼の友達の中には煙草を吸う人が数人います。彼らと一緒に行動すると必ず「煙草吸っていい？」と聞かれます。心の中では「ダメッ！絶対にイヤッ！」と思っても、やはり「いいよ」としか言えないのです。例えば、車の中で吸われたりしたら窓を開けていても煙の匂いで気持ちが悪くなるし、後にも不快な臭いが車内や髪、洋服に付着してもう泣きたくなるほどです。
状況的には日本にいるよりも数段マシなので仕方がないと思ってはいるのですが、本心は煙草を吸わない人と同席する場合は、その間だけでもどうか禁煙して欲しいと思うばかりです。
自分は吸わないけれど人が吸うのは気にしないという人から、私のように絶対に苦手な人まで幅広いので難しい問題だとは思いますが、吸う人、吸わない人がどういう考えをお持ちだか是非聞いてみたいと思います。
