[Mailing to UI Office]

As the team responsible also mentioned, due to the recession caused by the Corona effect, there have been a lot of thefts during the mailings. In my friend's area, there was an incident where mail left in the delivery truck was stolen when the post office staff was away from the delivery truck to deliver to their respective homes, and the post office sent a letter of apology.

I think the safest way to send mail to the UI office is to have the recipient sign for the mail, which also provides proof that the UI office did indeed receive it.

The post office will tell you which mailing method to use. I believe they are green return postcards.

Those who applied for EB20 received a call from the UI office asking if they would like to remain as EB20 applicants ？ or switch to the PEUC 11 week extension ？. I think this is what was in the official announcement for EB20 applicants.

＃ Related to 751. sharing information for those who have finished using 13 weeks of PEUC and applied for EB20 after 12/13/20.

I called the call center day before yesterday and asked if all the above mentioned people will be automatically switched to PEUC 11 weeks extension.
I was told that the UI will contact the applicant and confirm whether they want to stay on EB20 or switch to the 11-week PEUC extension, as written in ＃ 751.

Some applicants who applied for EB20 may have used up the balance of their PEUC 13-week extension prior to 12/26/20 and chose EB20 to receive benefits for the subsequent 1 or 2 weeks

If you switch to the PEUC 11-week extension, you can only apply for retroactive claim from the week of 1/2/21/END, so you will not get these two blank weeks （ You should check yourself when you are contacted by the UI to be sure! ）.

Also, if you reach the Benefit Year End before the remaining balance of your PEUC 11-week extension reaches zero, it is not clear whether you can continue to receive it until you reach 11 weeks after that.

There is also the option of staying on EB20, so you may want to think carefully before switching to the 11-week PEUC extension （ One disadvantage of staying on EB20 is that if your EB20 is denied, you may not be able to return to the 11-week PEUC ） .

I have not applied for EB20 myself yet, I will wait for the system to be introduced for PEUC 11 weeks extension.
